Aoi Fujioka, a second-year high school student, has been selected to represent Kyoto Prefecture in the Girls' 5,000m Race Walk at the "80th National Sports Festival."

Fujioka earned her selection to the Kyoto Prefecture team in recognition of her outstanding performances, including an eighth-place finish at the National High School Athletics Championships (Inter-High), held from July to August.

The 80th National Sports Festival will be held in Aomori Prefecture from Thursday, October 15 to Monday, October 19.
