Ritsumeikan University Commencement Ceremonies Academic year 2023 (to be held in March 2024) (2nd Notice)

Ritsumeikan University will hold commencement ceremonies and graduate school degree conferral ceremonies in the following manner, which will allow both graduating and completing students and their family members to attend them in person on our campuses.

For those who wish to attend the ceremonies, we ask for your kind understanding and cooperation in advance in regard to the following points.

*Please be seated at the ceremony venue at least 10 minutes before the start time.

Conferral of Graduation Certificates and Degrees

Individual graduation certificates and degrees will be conferred to students by their college or graduate school prior to or following their commencement ceremony/degree conferral ceremony. Please make sure to bring your personal seal (for receipt confirmation), student ID card and something to write with.

Graduating and completing students should check the venue for the graduation certificate and degree conferral ceremony for their college or graduate school. The following links contain the times and locations of ceremonies on each campus

Regarding Attendance

There will be no parking available for commencement ceremony attendees at any of the venues, so please come by public transportation.

To avoid congestion on campus, please do not arrive more than one hour prior to the starting time of the ceremony you are attending. There will also be staff guides located inside and outside the ceremony venue to show the way to attendees. We ask for your cooperation in following the guidance of our staff for the smooth entry and exit of attendees on the day.

Ritsumeikan campuses are completely no smoking. Please also refrain from smoking on the streets around our campuses.
