Mr Bruce Miller AO was Australian Ambassador to Japan from 2011 to2017. He holds non-executive directorships and advisory positions with several major Japanese and Australian companies, and is a Senior Policy Fellow at ANU. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (first class honours) in Japanese language, literature and history with a major in Government; and a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Sydney.
He spent much of his career dealing with Australia’s economic, political and security relationship with Japan. He also made a significant contribution to cultural exchange between the two countries, and was among the first to promote collaboration between Ritsumeikan University and ANU on the dual degree program.
