Spring 2023 Course List and Advising Appointments

News December 23, 2022

Dear GLA students,

GLA will introduce a new curriculum for students to be admitted from Spring 2023 and afterward. While you, students admitted in 2019-2022, will remain in the curriculum with no negative impact, we are also excited to inform you that we will expand the course lineup effective Spring 2023. It should enable you to select courses from broader disciplines based on your study interests and academic, career, and personal goals.

The following document highlights points to remain the same and change. Please make sure to read it carefully.

The implementation of the new course lineup will NOT affect your academic status at all. All the RU and ANU credits you earned by Fall 2022 will remain on your RU academic record, and the new course will count toward your requirements accordingly. Details are available in the following.

The spring 2023 course schedule is now available as a sortable Excel file.

[For students taking RU courses in Spring 2023]

Given that all necessary information regarding the transition is ready, our academic advising team will start taking advising appointments. Because GLA course registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis from Spring 2023, we strongly encourage you to meet with an advisor and plan your semester well in advance.

While it is not required, we highly encourage and expect you to check the Spring 2023 course schedule, select courses you are interested in, and provide the course list along with your appointment request (but of course, they do not have to be your final choice). Please use the Course Selection form when submitting the desired course list.

Please contact our academic advisors through the following website if you have any questions.

Please note that the GLA Office and all associated units, including advising, will be closed between December 24 and January 5. We will respond to your inquiry and appointment requests in January in the order they reach us.

We wish you a relaxing and peaceful winter break. Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

The GLA Office
