Mobile communication system
The number of smart phone subscriptions already exceeds the population of Japan. In addition, a wide variety and large number of things, including consumer electronics, are being connected to the Internet, known as the Internet of Things (IoT). Mobile communication system is essential to support these technologies.
We are researching mobile communication technologies necessary to realize next-generation mobile communication systems.In mobile communication systems, a mobile phone basically communicates wirelessly with the nearest base station. We are researching ways to improve the efficiency of communication between the base station and the mobile phone. We are also conducting experiments with private mobile networks.
