Creating high-performance humanoid robots to explore future robotics

Humanoid Systems Laboratory (HSL) aims to contribute to our society by creating high-performance humanoid (human-like) systems, focusing on the universal, sustainable methodologies of design, control, and real world operation.
We validate our methods through multi-discipline collaboration. Ongoing research projects include hydraulic humanoid robots that can safely interact with humans, exoskeleton robots that can optimally assist wearer’s motion, quadruped walking robots for mobile applications, and low-cost hybrid manipulators or servo-press for industrial applications.
