Usage of Some Takeda/Moderna Vaccine Lots Suspended

On August 26, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced that they have decided to suspend the use of certain lots (production units) of the Takeda/Moderna vaccine for COVID-19. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare issued a notification regarding this matter on the same day.
The lots in question were not used at Ritsumeikan University's Kinugasa and Biwako-Kusatsu Campuses.
However, 2,600 doses of the one of the lots (lot no. 3004734) were delivered to Osaka Ibaraki Campus, and 1,520 people were vaccinated between August 20 and 25. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, there have been no reports of health problems related to this case.
