1. Examination Accommodations for Applicants

If you would like to apply for examination accommodations due to illness, injury or disability, follow the instructions below.
*It is not necessary for GLA applicants to apply for examination accommodations, as the screening process for GLA consists of a document screening only.

Depending on the type of examination and contents of requested accommodations, accommodations may not be implemented as requested. You may be asked to attend an online meeting for additional consultation regarding your request.

If an applicant wishes to request accommodations for academic and daily life on campus after enrollment, contact the Disability Resource Center (drc@st.ritsumei.ac.jp) or administrative office of the program (contact information here ).

*We may share the submitted information with the administrative office of the program you applied to in order to provide examination accommodations and prepare for accommodations after enrollment.

2. Application Process and Deadline

If you wish to request examination accommodations due to an unforeseen accident (e.g., traffic accident, injury, or illness) after the deadline, please contact the International Admissions Office.

3. Examination Accommodations Request Procedure

(1) Apply using the online form.
(2) After the deadline, we will review your application and determine the details of accommodations. We may ask for additional submissions for review.
(3) Once the review concludes, we will send you "2026_Decision Notification on Medical Certificate for Examination Accommodation Requests". With this notice, examination accommodation is granted.
(4) In addition to requesting accommodations, you must apply to the program(s) separately. Follow the instructions in the Application Handbook and complete the program application(s) within the application period.

  • 1. Account creation is required. Access the account creation page and follow the instructions at the link below.

    2. After completing account creation, access the online form for the application.
    *Keep your ID and password confidential.
    *Make sure to log-out after completing the application.

    *You will be automatically logged out after a certain time. Make sure to click the "Save" button frequently. If you were logged out automatically, close the browser and log in to the form again.

    • Application period: The day the online form opens ~ one month before the opening day of each application period.

    • *All application procedures must be completed by the deadline.
      *Access is interrupted every day from 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM and from 7:30 PM on Wednesday to 9:00 AM on Thursday due to system maintenance.

      • What to submit

      • Before uploading the documents, make sure that they are in color and that all characters are clear and legible.
        You can attach only one file. If you have more than one document, combine them into one.
        Form

        Notes
        ・The medical certificate must include the degree and condition of the illness, injury, or disability, as well as the reason for need for the accommodations.
        ・If the medical certificate cannot be issued using our form, it must still cover the contents require by our form and be issued on or after April 2026.
        ・All documents must be submitted in PDF format.
        ・If the statement on the certificate is untrue, it will be considered misconduct.
        ・An applicant who commits misconduct will not be eligible to apply for the same enrollment year. In addition, all previously submitted applications for the same enrollment year will also be invalidated. The application fee will not be refunded.
        ・ A criminal complaint may also be filed with the police. The application fee will not be refunded.

4. Note

(1) The details of the accommodation will be determined based on the content of the application. However, depending on the examination format and/or the content of the request, we may need to decide on measures or accommodations that differ from those requested.
(2) Once an application is accepted, we may not accept changes to the information submitted through the form.
