• Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan was held in the summer of 2025, under the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” As science and technology continue to advance, how can we work together with the international community to build a sustainable society that supports the diverse ways each and every person aspires to live and enables them to realize their potential fully? Expo 2025 was an invaluable opportunity for us to confront a fundamental question: what can each of us do to help create a society in which people can truly thrive?
  The Ritsumeikan Academy shared this vision and participated in Expo 2025. In this issue, in line with the theme of Expo 2025, we showcase research from a variety of fields, including neuroscience, robotics, sociology, and social welfare.
