I decided to become a researcher because, when I was a student, I was working on a project to investigate the dynamic structure of aqueous protein solutions, and I became fascinated by the relationship between biomolecules and water. Even now, I get inspired every time I learn about the exquisiteness of life phenomena that continue to be elucidated. Originally, I specialized in polymer physics, which is a field related to biophysics and physical chemistry, but now my focus is on foundation education for pharmacy.
Development of educational methods and teaching for physical pharmacy
I am currently working to develop teaching materials for use in remedial education and other programs aimed at improving basic academic skills, to identify more effective support methods, and to consider which methods are most appropriate for assessing levels of comprehension and achievement.
Learning a discipline takes time and effort, and at times, it can be hard. On the other hand, the acquisition of knowledge is a fundamental human desire. I hope I can share with my students the joy of understanding and the excitement of intellectual exploration, if even just a little bit.
