I learned about TDM in my master's program and conducted research on methods for assessing the clearance of vancomycin. My research paper on this topic was accepted, and a few years later, I found out that it had been cited in the TDM guidelines. I was very happy to learn that the paper I wrote played a role in the development of medical evidence. That led me to want to disseminate more evidence from the frontlines.
Medical pharmacy in collaboration with clinical practice
In collaboration with clinicians, I conduct research into medical pharmacy with the aim of providing appropriate and optimal drug therapy.
In many medical settings, pharmacists primarily handle pharmacy-related duties, and they do not have much time for research. I think it is necessary for frontline medical workers and universities to conduct joint research so that questions from the field can be linked to research.
You cannot grow if you do not try things and experience failure.
I worked as a pharmacist for 10 years, but during that time I got married, had children, and earned my PhD. Women’s careers can be interrupted by life events, but if you have a strong will and can keep moving forward, you can always achieve your goals. Remember: You cannot grow if you do not try things and experience failure. I want you to dream big and try many things.
