Why I Became a Researcher

I’ve always liked to conduct experiments. In time, I came to be interested in the world of small molecules and genes that are invisible to the naked eye, and I wanted to get a glimpse of this world with my own eyes.

Research Information

Research Area and Theme

Stem Cells/Germ Cells/Endemic Species

I am researching signal transduction related to the differentiation of stem cells and germ cells from the viewpoints of molecular biology and developmental biology. I am also conducting similar research on endemic species.

Thoughts on Research Theme

Through my research, I want to understand life phenomena and enjoy new discoveries.

Take on challenges in anything you do

Take on challenges in anything you do. When I was a student, I would overthink and had difficulty taking action on things. When I actually tried doing things while being supported by those around me, there were a lot of things that were completely different from what I’d imagined in my head. Even if I thought I wasn’t good at something, when I tried to actually do it, it sometimes went well and I also failed a lot. But I think failure is an experience that is gained from trying. Looking back now, I feel that the time I spent worrying too much was a waste. Even if it’s small, it counts, so I want you take on challenges and value having your own experiences.
