This was my first time ever studying economics and at the start i found it challenging but slowly i started learning it. Also it was not easy to adopt to life in japan at the start because of issues like language but so far it has not stopped me from getting used to life in japan. Finding study and home life balance especially in a foreign country made me realise this strength that i have aquired.

Multitasking

Master's studies require many initiatives from yourself in finding information about campus activities, activities outside the study, research materials, and initiatives to always improve research.

Initiative

By investigation, realized many other extra technical standpoints that had reshaped the mindset or direction of research. Some of them do reflects on the current selection of the new topic or research directions.

Understanding

I have no background in Economics and it was quite new for me. I had to work extra hard to bridge the gap. I met my classfellows outside the classes, discussed their routines, study patterns, strengths and weaknesses. This way i was able to offer them help in my strong areas and vice versa. This practice not only develope team work in us but also we built a strong bond of mutual care and respect.

Teamwork

When facing many challenges living in Japan, I realized I need to find new approaches to make matter more convenient.

Innovation

So far I have attended lectures well and done research according to the advice of sensei. My research experienced an increase in progress and positive response during the research project seminar. Although I haven't received my grades yet but I'm grateful I got a good study.

Resilience

My junior encountered a problem: he didn’t know how to use microcontrollers. It reminded me of when I was starting out—I also didn’t know much about them and had no one to ask for help. Back then, I spent a lot of time learning on my own. Now that I can help others, I explained the most basic concepts to him and introduced some learning materials and useful websites. This helped him quickly get a grasp of microcontrollers. He was very grateful, and I felt happy that I could help him.

Empathy

I had to move from my country and start to live alone, that means that I had to change everything that I was used, I start to learn more about myself in a new environment. In my home I was used to spend time with my family and pets indoors, now, that they aren't here, I have to motivate myself to go out and give myself quality time, eating healthy and have a good balance of my lifestyle. And sometimes, the routine get the worse of me, thinking living day by day just doing what I have to do, school, work, cooking, etc., but then I remember that I am fulfilling my dreams in one of my favorites country, so, should give me credit of the feeling of accomplishments.

Self-efficacy

I am a self financial student, that means that I donˋt have any scholarship. My parents are my guarantors, still, because I have the opportunity of work a part time job here, I am working here to reduce the economically burden for them. Still, because I work here, I have to find the balance between school, work, and a healthy lifestyle. At the start I realized that I was doing things wrongly because I was doing a wrong schedule of foods and sleeping, making me more tired. But after my first vacations I could realized how I should organize in order to fulfill all my goals, now I am doing much better enjoying all the small or big moments that this new experience had give me.
