I had to move from my country and start to live alone, that means that I had to change everything that I was used, I start to learn more about myself in a new environment. In my home I was used to spend time with my family and pets indoors, now, that they aren't here, I have to motivate myself to go out and give myself quality time, eating healthy and have a good balance of my lifestyle. And sometimes, the routine get the worse of me, thinking living day by day just doing what I have to do, school, work, cooking, etc., but then I remember that I am fulfilling my dreams in one of my favorites country, so, should give me credit of the feeling of accomplishments.
Self-efficacy
When my parents scolded me
Empathy
I am a self financial student, that means that I donˋt have any scholarship. My parents are my guarantors, still, because I have the opportunity of work a part time job here, I am working here to reduce the economically burden for them. Still, because I work here, I have to find the balance between school, work, and a healthy lifestyle. At the start I realized that I was doing things wrongly because I was doing a wrong schedule of foods and sleeping, making me more tired. But after my first vacations I could realized how I should organize in order to fulfill all my goals, now I am doing much better enjoying all the small or big moments that this new experience had give me.
Initiative
Resilience has been learned throughout the entirety of my life. I have constantly experienced troubles and failures in my life, but eventually, I learned that there is no such thing as failure as long as you keep trying. Failure is when you completely give up, learning is when you make mistakes and correct them. As long as you experience troubles and try to learn from them, you will never fail. I will provide an example. Unfortunately, I have had three friends pass away due to problems with mental health. While this profoundly affected me, I learned the importance of taking care of my own self and how to continue living even when life is difficult. Though there are many other examples of hardships in my life, this one stands out as a recent example, and I strengthened my resilience by living through this experience.
Resilience
I learned this during my first year of study when I was really stressed out in this lab. However, with the support of the student support room, seniors, and my family, I was able to calm down and realize that my stress was caused by trying to please my professors and doing things I didn't like. After I understood this, I started working as much as I could and focused on doing what I was good at.
Self-efficacy
In 2020 I was working as Network engineer in a university in Alexandria city as the same time completing my master degree in Information science in other university while being wife and waiting birth of my child , In 2021 I passed all requiremnts to promote as senior Network Engineer , completing my master degree and my childe come to the world. In 2022 , caring my son beside my duties as team leader , completing training courses in IT and English and passed all requiremts exames for JICA scholarship.
Multitasking
It is a trait i have acquired from my home. I know and understand with effort, results show themselves. So, there is no need to doubt myself.
Self-efficacy
Since I'm an international student, I'm basically living alone in Japan with no family or relatives. The first 6 months after coming to Japan, I went through the adjustment phases which was challenging and sometimes exhausting both physically and mentally. I started to understand that self-assurance by understanding yourself is a very important part in facing problems in life. My interest in psychology basically helped me in reaching self-efficacy.
Self-efficacy
I have made many connections with people of different ages, cultures, and genders in and out of school. I have witnessed these people talk about their lives and what challenges they faced or how they overcame said challenges. From this, I believe that I became more open-minded and empathetic towards people I am especially close to such as childhood friends and classmates who are going through hard times with school, family, and trauma. My personal experiences also helped me understand others and give them a sense of support and understanding, although we haven't experienced the same events.
