Real life: On-campus support to help students design their career paths

• We offer career counseling from the early years at university to prepare for job-seeking activities.
  • A booklet with 60 articles on the campus lives of Ritsumeikan University students is distributed to each first-year student upon enrollment. The booklet will give you ideas on how to get the most out of campus life.
  • Various seminars and workshops are held for students at all stages, from those in the early years to those seeking jobs, to help you understand the reality of looking for a job.
  • Idea development training is held for second-year students to strengthen their ability to come up with ideas.
  • There are small-group in-person meetings with alumni of Ritsumeikan University, in which they share practical information about their work experience directly with participating students. This will help you design your career path.
  • Students who will graduate in AY2022 will be given a job-seekers handbook containing useful information on looking for a job, including tips for visiting alumni for advice.
  • We offer various internship programs, and help students to participate in these programs by giving career development and internship guidance, and preparing them for internship interviews.

  Ritsumeikan University has a reliable network through which job-seeking students, students who have accepted job offers, and alumni encourage each other and explore career paths together. The exchange of encouraging words inspires and motivates those using the network.

DX: Job-seeking activities during and after Covid-19

• In partnership with BizReach Inc., Ritsumeikan University has officially adopted BizReach Campus, an online alumni visit platform offered by the company and encourages students to use this service.
  BizReach Campus enables students to connect with 800 Ritsumeikan University alumni online, who talk about their career history, including graduate schools they attended and experience of switching jobs.
• We offer individual counseling to job-seeking students and prepare them for job interviews using DX tools.
