Center for Systems Vision Science
The restoration and improvement of quality of vision are two of the most important issues in an aging society. Center for Systems Vision Science is a government-industry-academia-citizen partnership site that strives for "integrated research in vision science," from analysis of the system dynamics of the retinal circuit and visual response to contributing to regenerative medicine and daily life. Researchers specializing in molecular biology, electrophysiology, behavioral analysis, information processing, mathematical models, robotics, psychophysics, illusion research, and pharmacology gather at the Center, broadly covering the field of vision science from the basics to application. The Center aims to contribute to a wide range of fields related to vision, not only in improving the quality of life of retinal disease patients and the elderly, but also in visual environment design and image sensing technology in daily life.
