Call for Research Papers for the Fourth Volume

The Asia-Japan Research Institute of Ritsumeikan University was founded in December 2015 under the Ritsumeikan Asia-Japan Research Organization as the 12th permanent research institute at Ritsumeikan University.

In accordance with the Institute's mission, cultivating Asia-literate, globally-capable human resources and contributing to the development of a common vision for the future of Asia and Japan, we proudly launched its English-only e-journal, the Journal of the Asia-Japan Research Institute of Ritsumeikan University, in 2019.

AJI Journal, Vol.1, 2019 was released in July 2019 in a PDF format online and as hard copies in a limited number and continues to be published once a year. The next issue, Volume 3, will be published in September in 2021.

Now, we invite the submission of original research contributions in all disciplinary and multi-disciplinary fields relating to Asia and/or Japan for the fourth volume. We welcome the submission of papers from various fields such as humanities, economics, law, international relations, policy science, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, sport and health sciences, and multi-disciplinary fields.

The institute encourages not only solid disciplinary researches but also strongly promotes interdisciplinary research through the development and fusion of various fields such as the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
We welcome all valuable and innovative papers on historical, contemporary, and innovative issues of Asia and/or Japan.

The deadline for submission is 23: 59 Japan Time on Tuesday, January 11, 2022
Please submit your paper as an MS Word file attached to an email together with a completed submission form. Please format your paper according to the AJI Style Sheet.
