Fostering a Next Generation of Researchers
At the Asia-Japan Research Institute (AJI), we are building a “seamless development system” that enables the next generation of researchers to be professional core researchers with high research capabilities. “Seamless development” provides essential research support according to each young researcher’s career stage and enhances individual research capabilities.
The AJI has mainly conducted three programs to fulfill this goal. First, we have accepted senior researchers under the “The Program Coordinated with Graduate Schools to Foster a Next-Generation Researcher.” Second, we have set up the “Career Development Corridor” to encourage the next generation of researchers to disseminate their research outputs with the “AJI Research Outcomes Promotion Program” and the “AJI Advanced Research Programs.” Third, we provided the “AJI Research Assistant Program,” in which the AJI hires Ph.D. students as research assistants to help them enhance their research abilities from the earlier academic stages.
Furthermore, aiming to expand the “Seamless Development System,” the AJI will continue to grow this development system, which extends to doctoral and master’s programs and undergraduate students who want to become professional researchers.
