Peer Review Process for the AJI Journal
The AJI Journal accepts submissions in the categories of “Research Article” and “Review Article.” All submitted manuscripts in these categories undergo a strict, double-blind peer review process. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another at all stages. The editorial office and board manage all communication between authors and reviewers.
Reviewers assess submissions according to their scholarly and disciplinary expertise. After submitting their feedback and revision suggestions, this information is communicated to the authors, who are then asked to respond accordingly. The reviewers subsequently reassess the revised manuscripts.
For manuscripts that receive acceptance, the journal designates each published article as “peer reviewed.”
If a submission is considered more suitable as a “Research Note” and the author agrees, the manuscript will be transferred to the Asia-Japan Research Academic Bulletin rather than being published in the AJI Journal, which does not include a research note category.
Although the journal aims to complete reviews promptly, the process may sometimes take time. As a general guideline, authors should expect a turnaround time of approximately five months from submission to acceptance.
Please note that “Book Reviews” are not subject to the double-blind peer review. They are evaluated and approved solely by the editorial board and editors and are published with a “non-peer-reviewed” designation.
