Module 1. Understanding the Locally-Led Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (DMHA) Analytical Framework

Module 1 Learning Objectives:
At the end of Module 1, the participants should be able to:

1.Understand the relevant policies and commitments that promote locally-led DMHA;
2.Deepen understanding of the “localization” of DMHA and discuss the challenges encountered; and
3.Identify the manifestations of local knowledge as local capacities in addressing disaster risks through the DMHA framework.
