3. Our response going forward
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Ritsumeikan has already established the Ritsumeikan Trust Crisis Response Task Force and the Ritsumeikan University Infectious Disease Countermeasure Committee to deliberate and decide our response. First and foremost, we are hoping for a speedy recovery for the student in question.
We have been alerting students, faculty, and staff via the university homepage and Twitter, and we have defined measures to be taken if there is a suspected case of the novel coronavirus.
To prevent the spread of infection going forward, we will step up our awareness-raising efforts, and we ask everyone to avoid the “Three Cs” (closed spaces, crowded places, close-contact settings), wash your hands regularly, adhere to cough etiquette, and take other actions required to ensure you do not get infected and do not infect others.
